| DIPLOMA TRANSLATION SERVICE FOR IMMIGRANTS |
Fast and Reliable – We can source the freelance Diploma translation resource you need!
If you have attended a college or university located outside of Canada or the United States and are planning to enroll in a canadian university or american college, you will have to request from all education institutions that you have attended that they provide you with an official diploma. (Academic institutions that you are applying to will often require that degrees, transcripts and/or proof of graduation be submitted to them directly from the issuing institutions.) The procedure for issuing an diploma varies from one jurisdiction to another. You need to contact each institution you attended to determine what procedures apply for securing your degree(s). The process may be time consuming as delays are not uncommon – you be well advised to begin the request process early on if you need the degree in your application for enrollment.
Learning institutions usually provide the original diploma/certificate achieved (i.e. diploma) directly to the student. (Transcripts are another matter. See Academic Transcripts Translation.)
Translations of Diplomas from Outside Canada or the United States
When official diploma are in a language other than English (or, in Canada, other than English or French depending on the institution that you are applying to), you
will be required to have the degree(s) translated before a determination can be made as to whether or not you meet the admission requirements of the learning institution you are
applying to. In all likelihood, the translation will require certification by a duly authorized translator. See Certified Translation Service.
The following generic guidelines for the translation and certification of diplomas would usually apply:
- All translations need to be prepared using a layout and format that mimics the original document;
- All of the information appearing on the document(s) must be translated;
- The translation must be verbatim (literal);
- No interpretation or evaluation of the information on the documents is permissible;
- The translation must be typed, signed, and dated by the translator and must list the translator's contact information (including address, phone number, fax number, and e-mail address if available) and certification credentials.
